The Amazing Reason This Husband Says a Man Can Never Be Married to ‘Only One Woman’

An Oregon man is touching hearts everywhere after sharing his heartfelt marriage lesson.

In a recent Facebook post, Dale Partridge, 31, talked gushed about his wife Veronica and the different versions of her he’s fallen in love with over the years.

“Men are so worried that marriage will leave them with ‘only one woman’ for the rest of their lives,” he wrote. “That’s simply not true. I fell in love with a 19-year-old rock climber, married a 20-year-old animal lover, started a family with a 24-year-old mother, then built a farm with a 25-year-old homemaker, and today I’m married to a 27-year-old woman of wisdom.”

Partidge was inspired to write the post because he wants people to realize that while you’re in a relationship, you constantly develop and evolve over time.

“When you stand at the alter to get married and if things go healthy, you’re probably going to get a way better man or woman 20 years from that day,” he says.

He also notes that there is something in our culture that is “elevating singleness.” The father of two says there is currently a problem where you have 28 to 35-year-old “boys” living at home, playing video games and preferring guy night over date night.

“They don’t have confidence and they don’t want to lead, so in turn you see a lot of women taking on these roles,” he says. “I think a lot of women — who are even feminists — still want to see men just kind of step up and be men.”

Partidge says that he often sees people who are hurt, broken or don’t have confidence to commit.

“It’s sad because they’re missing out on a really beautiful thing,” he says.

He also stresses that marriage is the fastest way to maturity.

“Every day you have to choose someone else instead of you,” he says. “You find the ability to think of other people.”

While people across the country swooned over his romantic words, his wife, who is pregnant with their third child, was also blown away.

“She smiled,” he says, “and said that it hit every string in a woman’s heart.”
