Nigeria international, Isaac Success has suffered another injury setback and might not be available when Watford takeS on Swansea City in a Premier League match at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Watford manager, Walter Mazzarri revealed on Thursday that the 20 year old who joined the Hornets on a then-club record of £12.5 million from Granada in the summer, has not trained this week due to a thigh problem picked up in his man of the match display at Middlesbrough on his maiden start.
“We need to check on him,” said Mazzarri. “He didn’t train the whole week and is a doubt for the game. He might not be available. I will make my decision on Saturday morning. When making the final decision, I don’t see how they played in the last game: I look at how they trained the whole week.”
The last comment would effectively rule out the forward who was struggling in the closing stages of the 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
“After I substituted him, the physio was telling me during the game he was hurting,” said the head coach.
