Several people were injured Wednesday when scaffolding fell from a construction site in downtown Miami, authorities said.
City of Miami Fire-Rescue told WSVN that five or six people were injured in the accident. Two construction workers were transported to a local hospital.
Police closed nearby streets to pedestrian traffic. WSVN reported that at least one car was damaged by debris.
Officials said the collapse occurred at the Echo Brickell building, a 60-foot condominium. The nature of the construction was not immediately clear.
