Michael Phelps Shares Adorable Footage of Baby Boy Boomer Learning to Swim

Boomer is taught how to swim by his dad's former swim teacher
Like father, like son! Michael Phelps' baby boy Boomer took the plunge and had one of his first swim lesson on Monday, November 28
The celebrated Olympian, 31, cradled the six-month-old who clung to him as he carried him around in the water.
“He’s been crying,” Phelps admitted. “He put his face in the water and he didn’t really like that too much. Now he’s just grabbing on for dear life.”
Phelps was back in his hometown of Baltimore for the holidays so Boomer got to swim at the Meadowbrook Aquatic Center where his dad used to train.
He even got a lesson from Cathy Bennett, the woman who taught Phelps how to swim when he was six-years-old.
In the lengthy post Boomer is encouraged to float on his back in the water, but the tiny tike isn’t keen and grabs onto his famous father’s face instead.

Despite being slightly unsure of the water, he eventually drifts off to sleep in Phelps’ arms.

“Guess he really does just go to his happy place, just like daddy when he is in the pool,” he said.

The father-son duo were also joined by Boomer’s gorgeous mom and Phelps' wife, Nicole Johnson.
