2018 World Cup qualifiers: Ramsey, Williams return for Wales

Aaron Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey is back in the Wales squad to face Serbia in their 2018 World Cup qualifier in Cardiff on Saturday, 12 November.

The Arsenal midfielder missed Wales' opening win against Moldova and the draws with Austria and Georgia that followed because of a hamstring injury.

He returned to play 75 minutes of the Gunners' Champions League win over Ludogorets Razgrad on Tuesday.

Fellow midfielder Jonny Williams also returns after injury.

Wales are third in Group D as they host joint leaders Serbia.

Ramsey suffered his injury while playing for Arsenal in their opening-day Premier League defeat by Liverpool on 14 August.

Coleman said it was "a no-brainer" to recall Ramsey.

"He played 75 minutes last night, and he looks fit. It was a no-brainer," said Coleman.

He is a huge part of what we are trying to do - a massive part of that with the talent he possesses," Coleman said.

"It was pleasing to see he got so much game-time last night, and he got an assist for the second goal, so fantastic.

"We have never taken risks with players, and we wouldn't with Aaron Ramsey.

"With somebody as good as Aaron, something is better than nothing, but we will have to wait and see after this weekend."
