Liverpool are without James Milner for the trip to Crystal Palace after the midfielder was ruled out through illness, meaning Alberto Moreno is handed a first Premier League start since the opening match of the season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side head into the match knowing they have not beaten Palace at Selhurst Park in the league since they returned to the Premier League in 2013, with their last win coming in December 1997 after a run of seven matches without a win with six losses in that time.
Other than the absence of Milner, Klopp deploys his strongest side after making 11 changes for Tuesday’s EFL Cup victory over Tottenham, with Loris Karius continuing in goal at the expense of Simon Mignolet.
