Prince Harry's Girlfriend Meghan Markle Talks About Her Fondness for British Men in Newly Resurfaced Interview

It seems Meghan Markle has always had a thing for guys with English accents. The Suits actress, who is currently dating Prince Harry, gushed about her fondness for British men in a newly resurfaced interview with Esquire U.K. magazine.

Markle, 35, told the publication in 2013 that she swoons whenever she sees an Englishman bundled up in the winter. "I love how British guys dress for the cold," she said. "I'm from L.A. so I'm used to seeing people in sunglasses and flip-flops. There's something so romantic about a man in a scarf and a knitted hat."
The brunette beauty also told Esquire that she likes men who are genuinely nice and have a sense of humor. "Kindness is the number one quality I look for in a man," she explained. "You can see in how he treats anyone — from a CEO to a housekeeper — and it's a reflection of how nice a guy is. Funniness and confidence come after that. ... When a guy approaches me, it's fantastic if he can make me laugh."

Markle added, "It's really attractive if a man has a skill that you want to improve in yourself. If you can learn from someone, then that's sexy."

Another thing she has a weakness for is the way Brits speak. "I love how much men call you 'darling' here," she giggled, according to the magazine. "I'm a sucker for a compliment."

Prince Harry
As Us Weekly previously reported, Prince Harry, 32, confirmed his relationship with the actress, who he started dating in June, in a passionate statement released on Tuesday, November 8. The note condemned racist and sexist trolls for negative comments about Markle.

"Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle's safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her," the statement read. "It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. ... This is not a game — it is her life and his."
