Aguero to Real, Terry to China.Gossip

Sergio Aguero John Terry
IF REAL COULD BUY A STRIKER…
If you were going to make a ‘shortlist of strikers’, you would definitely put Sergio Aguero on that shortlist; so we’re not exactly surprised at the Daily Mirror story from John Cross. You would also put Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on that list. Actually, that seems to be the whole list.

The whole story is a nice way to introduce these quotes from Aguero, who holds no grudges against Pep Guardiola for dropping him for the first Champions League clash with Barcelona: “I’m never angry. I respect every manager’s decision. He said it was a tactical thing and I obviously respect that.”

Hopefully he is going nowhere.

A SLOW BOAT TO CHINA…
It’s clear that John Terry is surplus to requirements at Chelsea so he needs to either a) retire or b) find a new club in a league slow enough not to expose him. So it looks very much like Terry might go and earn £8m a year at Guangzhou Evergrande, where he is already a club ambassador.

The Daily Mail say that Terry has a big decision to make next summer, but it sounds like a no-brainer to us. But could he cope with former Charlton midfielder Zheng Zhi being his captain?

WEST HAM WANT KONE
They forgot to buy themselves a new defence in the summer but it seems West Ham have finally realised that they need a new centre-half. Hopefully they are targeting the Lamine Kone who was excellent for Sunderland last season and not the Lamine Kone who has been woeful this season.

The Daily Mirror claim that both West Ham and Everton could move for Kone in January. This is what Jamie Carraghere said about him this week: “His attitude on the pitch this season has been nowhere near acceptable.” Is this the man you want in the trenches, Hammers fans?
