Emmanuel Petit has expressed fears for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s mental health.
Mourinho was appointed United manager in the summer as a replacement for Louis van Gaal, who was sacked after leading the club to fourth and fifth-placed finishes in his two Premier League seasons.
United started the season well under their new boss, winning their opening three games, but they have now won just one league game in seven.
A goalless draw with Burnley on Saturday merely increased the pressure on the Portuguese, who was named our early loser of the weekend.
Mourinho was sent to the stands as United registered 37 shots and 72% possession, but failed to find a breakthrough against Sean Dyche’s side at Old Trafford.
The manager could even face a second FA charge in the space of one week if referee Mark Clattenburg deems his actions on Saturday worthy of mentioning in his match report.
The 53-year-old has already been charged over comments he made about referee Anthony Taylor prior to his side’s match at Liverpool earlier this month.
Speaking to SFR Sport, former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Petit expressed fears over the manager’s mental health.
