50 Cent Weighs in on Kanye West's Hospitalization: He Didn't Fake His Breakdown

50 Cent defended Kanye West during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, December 1, saying that the rapper didn't fake the illness that landed him in the hospital.
In a segment called "50's 2 Cents" host Andy Cohen asked the Power star about current celebrity news including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce, Mariah Carey's broken engagement and West's hospitalization.

"That was interesting cause I kind of felt like you could see that coming … in pieces, it was like little outbursts," 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, said of the "Famous" rapper, 38, who was admitted to an L.A. hospital after canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour.

He also dismissed speculation that the rapper faked his breakdown — which saw him restrained as he was taken to the hospital by ambulance — in order to claim insurance money.
"No," the 41-year-old said. "He could have just went to work."
When asked by the Bravo host about Kim Kardashian's recent robbery in Paris, he added, "I think that was a part of Kanye's breakdown."

As Us Weekly previously reported, 911 dispatchers warned West's doctor to keep any weapons away from the rapper during an incident at his trainer's home on November 21.
Yeezy was admitted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in L.A. on the afternoon of November 21 after he reportedly started behaving "erratically" following a bizarre rant slamming pals Jay Z and Beyoncé as well as Hillary Clinton during a show in Sacramento.
West was treated for more than a week for extreme exhaustion and was released from the hospital on Wednesday, November 30.

Kardashian, his wife and the mother of the couple's two kids, North 3, and Saint, 11 months, remained by the "Fade" rapper's hospital bed, keeping watch over her husband.

The couple celebrated his homecoming on Wednesday with a small family gathering that also celebrated Saint's upcoming first birthday.
