Tyga Sued for Failing to Make Ferrari Payments: Report

Tyga is in legal trouble regarding his finances, again.

The rapper is being sued in a lawsuit for failing to make car payments on a red 2016 Ferrari 488, according to legal documents obtained by E! News. The lessor, Alex Benedict, filed the suit earlier this month in Orange County Superior Court claiming that he made an agreement with Tyga, 27, in May but the rapper has yet to pay.

Benedict is asking for $150,000 in damages. Tyga’s attorney did not return request for comment.

After the “Rack City” hitmaker missed several of the car’s lease payments, Benedict had the Ferrari repossessed in August. Then the car was repossessed for a second time in November, after Tyga broke the agreement he and Benedict made that allowed him to use the car until Oct. 9.
“We attempted to work with Tyga and his representatives before filing this lawsuit. Unfortunately, they all but ignored our requests to return the vehicle forcing us to take action and file suit,” Benedict’s lawyer, Ron Chini, told New York Daily News on Monday.

While one lawsuit begins, another ends. As of Nov. 28, Tyga has paid off the nearly $280,000 debt owed to famed jeweler Jason Arasheben in a lawsuit filed against the rapper earlier this year for the jewelry.

“[Tyga] has made the payment as promised to the satisfaction of our client,” Arasheben’s attorney Danny Abir of Abir, Cohen, Treyzon and Salo tells PEOPLE. “We are done.”
